The rum Glas de Panama 9 years is a rum elaborated in Panama from the double maturation. The result of a close collaboration with the Distillery Varela Hermanos SA, creator of the first sugar mill in Panama in 1908, this molasses rum is distilled in stills with large columns, which give a brandy of a rare purity and nobility. Its first aging is done in bourbon barrels, which brings mellowness and vanilla aromas.Maison Glas, in the manner of independent bottlers, imports these rums to age them a second time in barrels used for its Armagnac. Smaller 100L barrels are used to obtain a larger contact surface, which allows a faster double maturation.
