Cyclamen is a perennial plant belonging to the Primulaceae or Myrsinaceae family, depending on the species. It produces beautiful and attractive bell-shaped flowers, and its leaves are heart-shaped. It has bulbous, tuberous roots that are poisonous. It comes in various shades of color, ranging from white to red, from fuchsia to purple. The ancient Greeks, given the uterus-shaped corolla and the spread of its seeds, which stimulate the growth of other plants, considered it an aphrodisiac, associated with fertility and capable of facilitating conception. The meaning of pink cyclamen is linked to the idea of pure love, making it an excellent gift for a new mother. The meaning of red cyclamen is closely linked to the concept of complicated love and distrust of one's partner, so it should be carefully avoided as a gift to your significant other. Finally, the meaning of white cyclamen is linked to the idea of purity, sweetness, and simplicity of life. Red cyclamen is associated with eroticism and passion, and for the ancient Greeks and Romans, it was capable of arousing sexual desire. Purple cyclamen is associated with a youthful, carefree, and cheerful attitude.
