The 17th century Château Blaignan spans 97 hectares of 25

- old sustainably farmed Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon vines. These vines are grown on limestone
- clay soil over a calcareous limestone base, whose sedimentation dates to the quaternary period. Wine quality is assured initially by grape sorting at harvest, modern winemaking facilities and then fourteen months ageing in French oak barrels before release.
