  • Description
A single matte with fruity notes and unprecedented ageing, sublimated by the know-how of the Breton distillery Warenghem
Distillerie Warenghem

Limited to 5,000 bottles, this unique edition of Whiksy Armorik reflects the expertise of the men and women of the Warenghem distillery. Produced from a distillate of Armorik, this 10 year old has been able to fully develop its characteristic fruity notes while preserving an incredible balance between strength and roundness, between woodiness and fruitiness.

Distilled in the brand's own cellars, it is the result of a meticulous blend of several single malts aged in bourbon casks and then in Oloroso Sherry casks. After a long maturation of at least 10 years, this limited edition expresses a completely new evolution of Armorik whisky.

Tasting notes
Nose: Intense on opening, the nose reveals notes of exotic fruits, complemented by peach and dried fruits, all within a very elegant woody dimension.
Palate: The 2022 edition is well-balanced on the palate, oscillating between liveliness and sweetness. Notes of pear jam are underlined by a herbaceous dimension marked by touches of camphor and coriander.
Finish: Long and spicy, the finish includes notes of pepper and other more empyreumatic notes of leather and smoke.

The Breton Whisky Geographical Indication

Proud holder of the Breton Whisky Geographical Indication, Armorik 10 Year Old meets very demanding specifications. Produced from water drawn from Brittany, it is fermented, distilled and aged in Brittany.

Warenghem Distillery: Breton whiskies

The Warenghem family, originally from the North of France, settled on the banks of the Leguer in Lannion, in the heart of the Tregor region and the pink granite coast at the end of the 19th century.

It was Leon, the patriarch, who created the distillery and its first product: the elixir of Armorique. The distillery first specialised in the production of fruit and plant creams and liqueurs. Thanks to this, the distillery has built up a reputation for high quality, notably by perpetuating Breton tradition and know-how.

In 2019, the distillery was awarded the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant label. Awarded by the State, this label distinguishes French companies with excellent craft and industrial know-how.
