This 16 year old whisky is an unpeated single malt, aged in second fill American oak casks, and finished in rum casks. Its citrus aromas make it a very seductive whisky which should please the greatest amateurs.
Tasting notes
Nose: fruity with sweet citrus notes and a slight woody note.
Palate: greedy and creamy with a taste of caramel bringing a real sweetness.
Finish: quite long with notes of exotic fruits.

Founded in 1824 by John Cumming in Speyside, Scotland, the Cardhu distillery takes its name from a Scottish term meaning "black rock". It is famous for producing particularly soft and sweet whiskies with different fruity notes.
