This Cognac, composed of one hundred long-aged eaux-de-vie, naturally tookthe name X.O, which means "Extra Old".Originally, Hennessy X.O was not intended to become the house's emblem, it was designed to be shared only with the creator's most intimate friends and it was in 1870, during a lunch at the Ch¢teau de Bagnolet, that the first bottle of this cognac was tasted.
