The Perfect Red to Send Home for the Holidays. This wine is deep red with lush cherry, black currant, and blackberry aromas and a touch of tar and smoke. The highly concentrated flavors are framed by firm tannins. The texture is smooth almost silky and masks the firm tannic structure that lies below and only appears on the lingering finish. A smooth, almost silky texture masks the firm tannic structure beneath, which really comes to the fore at the beginning of the long finish. Savor with roast leg of lamb with garlic potatoes, or a meaty lasagna.
